There are two steps. First, you reach Tuscanypointevillas Concrete. We take down the basics of your project. Then your request goes to an independent provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business, and the provider does the work.

What happens on the call

Expect a few simple questions about your project, your address and the kind of surface you want. Then you are routed to a provider who may work in your area. Some providers can respond quickly, but availability varies. After that, you talk about details directly with the provider.

What to ask an independent provider

A good provider is glad to answer questions. Try these.

• Are you licensed and insured where I live?
• Can I get a written quote that lists materials, thickness and base work?
• How will you handle drainage so water runs away from the house?
• What happens to old concrete, and what might you find under it?
• How do you plan for deep frost, hot summers and hard rain?
• Where will you place control joints, and why?
• For stamped concrete patios, can I see a sample of the pattern and color?
• How long before I can walk or park on the new surface?

Older homes and hidden surprises

If your house is decades old, say so up front. Ask what the provider will check before pouring, such as soil, past patches, nearby lines and grade near the foundation. A careful provider explains the risks in plain words. Costs for concrete flatwork vary by job in the U.S., so always get a written quote.

You are in control

Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. You can ask for more than one quote, take time to decide, or walk away. Ask before you pour.
